Melanie Lee

Principal Speech Pathologist
Melanie is a Senior Speech Pathologist with over 9 years of clinical experience and is a Certified Practising Member of Speech Pathology Australia. She has worked across a range of settings, including hospitals, schools, not-for-profit organisations, private practice, and community-based services, with a strong focus on paediatric speech pathology and early intervention.
During her time with a leading not-for-profit autism organisation in Melbourne, Melanie worked closely with autistic children and their families, delivering both individual and group intervention programs. This experience has strengthened her commitment to providing neurodiversity-affirming, evidence-based support that is tailored to each child's unique strengths, needs, and goals.
Melanie believes in a family-centred, functional approach to therapy, empowering children and their families with practical strategies that can be embedded into everyday life. She is passionate about helping children build confidence, develop meaningful communication skills, and reach their full potential.
In addition to her paediatric expertise, Melanie has completed training in Orofacial Myology and works collaboratively with orofacial myology-trained dentists, orthodontists, bodyworkers, and other allied health professionals to support children with oral function concerns. She has a special interest in how oral muscle function can impact speech, feeding, chewing, swallowing, breathing, and facial development, and provides holistic, evidence-informed care to help children achieve the best possible outcomes.
She is also multilingual and speaks fluent English, Malay and conversational Mandarin/ Cantonese.

- SOS Advanced Workshop, 'Food Scientist Model' (this is the adaptation of the Basic SOS program for children aged 6 years and above)
